How do we assist parents in raising their children in the faith if they aren't willing to participate?
That is the million dollar question. We have a whole generation of youth whose parents may have no or little faith background and the difficulty arises. Many churches have never had or have abandoned the confirmation model of ministry, so for those that hold true it raises another difficulty. Parents desire for their children to learn about the faith, at least that is what they say, but actions show that they desire glorified babysitters.
So the question is how do we re-member the past way of teaching our faith in a way that is still relevant?

1 Timothy 4.12 Vision
An age of new birth and revival in the faith, that is my vision and, I believe, the vision of our glorious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We await the day in which He comes, but until then we must now be prepared to serve Him and proclaim the glorious Gospel that He has given us to the world. A love story which we know the ending, but only seek to be on the side of joy and paradise as opposed to being cast away having given the ultimate in urequited love to the one who desires always to be in that relationship with us. For those of you searching I hope that you find this site uplifting and feel free to post comments, if you are wanting to join me in my mission just post me and I will direct you to some other blogs that I am working on. This is the site for great discussion on God and Jesus Christ, no holds barred. If you don't believe or think this God thing is just bunk we can talk, all I ask is that you please respect others including myself and not use inappropriate language, please respect others views and not attack, and be fair...I promise to offer the same to anyone. My desire is to make this a safe site for everyone who comes.
In Christ,
Chris
